My car sees mostly street use and it does have a bit of a drag race stance (lower in the front which causes the fuel to stay forward).So I finally got down to doing something with the boat of a front end my 72 Chevelle has become. I built the Buick 455 with wiseco pistons and aluminum edelbrock heads, what a monster this thing is! 12.22 @110.8 mph with just street tires.Does anyone know where I can get the diagrams for correct placement of 454SS front fender emblems for a 70 Chevelle SS 454, and, the correct Super Sport emblem placement for rear quarter panels for a 67 Chevelle SS. Of the three years you listed, a 71 will probably be the cheapest to buy, followed by '69. 70 will likely be the most expensive. This is directly the result of their popularity... 70 is most popular and sought after, 69 is a very close 2nd.

For either 65-67 or 68-72 ( some later 67?), the lower control arms mounts are in the same location, so there is absolutely NO tire clearance advantage with either rearend...
