The Mystic Carrion in BG3 is a mysterious and secretive Mummy Lord found in Philgrave’s Mansion. He claims to be a spirit medium who works with wealthy clientele from Baldur’s Gate’s Upper City. Mystic Carrion has some nice wares for sale but, upon approach, will immediately dismiss you and your party for being too poor for his services.
The game lets you do things that will negate quests entirely. It is just a progress of discovery and what to look forward to on the next play through. If that is not acceptable, I would suggest guides and walk through outlines. But, BG3 is a game of consequences. 2.Go to the tomb. Character should aknowledge the tomb. 3. Read the plate and character should say something about a reunion. 4. Do nothing for about 10 seconds. Spirit should pop up and interact with the body. Quest will progress. What bugged the quest for me is that I clicked the ability to speak with the spirit while in this 10 second period. If referring to a shadowcursed companion (or friend if playing online), attack and down the shadowcursed companion. When they are down, you can pick them up, and they will be alive again like normal.
