The same thing was true with the Glenfield Model 20 bolt action rifle. There might be more, but these are the only two that immediately come to mind.

However, this Marlin model 60 takes 18 .22 bullets and looks to have the longer barrel. My understanding is that the ones made in 1989 were the newer model.
