I've looked up a few solutions to fix it but none of them seem to work. Bonelab is on an SSD, and I've verified the game files. I can't seem to find any other solutions to fix this problem. I feel like it's just a non-intrusive way of asking for a rough body size for people that don't really care. As a fat bloke I wouldn't personally care if the options were thin, medium, me, but I imagine some people would, plus it could be a bit weird to come up with body type names for XXL or higher, so shirt size seems like a good compromise to me.

Okay, so here's what I learned as a new Oculus Store/Melonloader Bonelab user. Mods.io mods will use the Mods folder in your C:\Users\ (usernamehere)\AppData\LocalLow\Stress Level Zero\BONELAB\Mods. You only need Melonloader for heavily coded mods, like SlowFall and Ragdoll, or audio replaces, etc.
