The dealership said there is a new fluid requirements and there is a special tool they are waiting on from Chevy to fix the issue. I'm on a waiting list for when the tool comes in to repair it. They told me that it is ok to continue driving with the shudder and that it will fall under my 100k powertrain warranty.

The new transmission flush did fix my 2018 Silverado 8-speed shudder at speeds. It did not have the low speed clunk though. My wife's 2017 Silverado 8-speed had the clunk before and after the transmission flush from the dealer. It fixed the shudder at speeds but did not fix the clunk at low speeds.
