I thought the 02 sensor and the spacers were both 18 x 1.5 ... (O2 Sensor threads vs Defouler Male-end threads). Is it threading at all? You drilled out the hole on the one that screws onto the O2 sensor right, its not just bottoming out is it? Does the defouler thread into the O2 bung on the exhaust ok?

The spark plug anti fouler will not work with the triangle flange type o2 sensors on the Tacomas. As stated above, the trick only works on screw in type sensors. Your best bet would be an o2 simulator....UNLESS you have access to equipment to properly machine out a spacer for the triangle flange. The key is slowing the reading to sensor.Recently installed a PLM Header on my 06' TSX. Of course, the PLM deletes the cat, and a defouler is used for the 02 sensor. About two weeks ago my CEL came on with a message that read "check exhaust system". My shop made a few changes to the defouler, which seemed to work for about a week. Unfortunately, the CEL has come back on.

Without going into detail, this voltage bounces back and forth wildly with the pulses of the engine. When a cat is in place it's fairly steady and doesnt bounce back and forth.
