As for the OP; dual wielding is always more DPS than 2h because of wps. Wop isn't a good DPS skill at all, it's a good leveling skill and it's used late game for RR. Edit: octavious isn't high DPS, it's medium high DPS with silly amount of defence. It's also easy to gear. Editedit: purifier is the highest preforming ranged weapon build in the game.

Aether is really easy to gear for. My first 100 was an Aether AAR Spellbinder and I never regretted Necromancer as a second class.
