I don't think Shang Tsung in MK1 is the Shang Tsung from MK11 Aftermath. He has none of the attire of Time Lord Shang Tsung, not even the Crown which gave him his powers (plus they changed his design). IMO he is simply this new era's Shang Tsung doing usual Shang Tsung scheming despite Liu's best efforts. And it's the same with the disease.I could it like this - at least in MK11: He can become anyone, but cannot perform any variation moves - just their basic combos and universal special attacks. I'd prefer it if characters just had one moveset and a set of quality skins as opposed to the mess MK11 can be at times.

Umm they came from MK11 dude 😆 the only differences besides graphics and animation is that the Mobile version of Shang Tsung's fatal blow is utilizing the UMK3 ninjas instead of MK2 like on the console/pc version of MK11 (mainly because there are no male MK2 ninja models in MK Mobile)
