Had to get an oil change and ended up going to the dealer - on their inspection they said there's a leak on the bank 2 rocker arm oil control valve. Quoted me $722 for the replacement.

I get it, some of you have replaced just the gasket with no issues. I’m not ready to pass judgment on the Dorman kit yet. A leak can also occur between the spool valve and head or the valve cover is leaking. I’d try the $10 fix first if there is no engine code associated with the leak. Be careful not to loosen or remove upper and lower spool valve bolts. Warm water + soap + pump (pressurize) and then spray around with engine hot. I keep the spray pointed instead of wide.
