Yeah, the only fluid which should be used in the Honda iVTM/SH-AWD rear differential used on 2G Ridgeline is the Honda/Acura DPSF-II fluid (p/n 08200-9007 or 08200-9007A), which is a partial-synthetic. AFAIK, there are no aftermarket substitute, so be careful here.

Just to be clear. DW-1 is fluid for the 6AT transmission (2017-2019 Ridgelines) NOT the rear differential. DO NOT PUT THAT IN YOUR REAR DIFFERENTIAL. Rear diff is Dual Pump II fluid. You should be able to find your owners manual onlineJimPghPA. Rear dif fluid should be changed every 15 K miles, ( 20 K at most ) and ONLY USE THE CORRECT HONDA FLUID. The front differential fluid uses the transmission fluid and is not separate. Just change the trany fluid. And it should be changed every 30 K miles. Make sure the larger ID washer goes over the fill plug. Replace drain plug and torque down. 35lb-ft. Pump in fluid to the rear diff. Using the Pennzoil pump, it took maybe five minutes to fill the diff. You are done once fluid starts to run out the fill hole. I changed the fluid in my rear differential the other day and I used HGO-1 75W-85 Honda Fluid (082000-9014) instead of the Dual Pump II fluid (08200-9007). Am I in trouble?
