For maximum gains in w4 colo you can start with acc/dmg card setup if needed, swap to a max drop rate setup once the w4 miniboss spawns and kill it -> more eggs/ladles the higher your dr and lastly swap to a mixed card setup of money, dr and dmg to destroy the chests. These days I do whichever colo would finish dailies (the drops from chests can complete daily gather tasks, like 'mine 50 platinum' or 'catch 50 bloach.'). Regardless, the most consistently important thing in colo is money drops. If half of W2 colo gets you more coin than completing w1 colo, keep doing W2. 3. The resource nodes have to despawn for the round to count as complete. Whacking at them doesn't speed that up as far as I know.
