PF9 Extractor Issue Resolved. My PF9 started to exhibit the famous FTE problem we have read about on this forum. I called KT and they sent out a new extractor, spring and button screw on their dime. Aug 2, 2011 · New PF9, Trouble Reassembling. Bought my 1st Kel-tec PF9 the other day (NEW), fired a couple of hundred rounds today and disassembled it for cleaning. The problem is when putting it back together, the slide goes on nice and smooth I lock the slide back and insert the pin, release the slide, the slide doesn't go all the way forward.

The PF9 was easy to disassemble and easy to clean. The only surprise was the recoil spring popped out and I was not expecting that. Now putting it together was another story. I had trouble getting the slide back on, but a quick YouTube video later I had it back together.
