Noise does not happen on startups during the day and the engine runs fine. Just the annoynig about 2 second long scratch noise at first start in the morning. On to the point.... I have an 07 with just over 110K miles on it and I have an often excruciatingly loud whine while accelerating. When the foot comes off the gas, the whine stops. It only happens in gear and when in motion. The whine gradually increases as the speed increases with the loudest iterations between 45-60 MPH.
