There must be a distance of 7/16 inch between the top of the outer edge of each float at the air horn gasket. To adjust the float, bend the tab at the back of the float. Here's the procedure: . loosen the #15 Torx screws holding the plates over the metering rods (next to the bowl vents) rotate them away and remove the metering rods and spring. . remove the clip holding the accelerator pump rod.

Just crank the engine over and wait for the fuel to fill the carb. If that doesn't work, spray some carb cleaner into the carb to prime the engine. It will start and then die. That will get the RPM's up enough to get fuel pump going. If it doesn't keep doing that until it does. You can even keep the engine running by continuously adding carb clean.
