Kinda glad u asked. I just got my first MCX rattler also so I'd like to know also and was about to research the same things. But I was gonna go for the obvious first. Things like springs.. ejector.. firing pin. I'd also like to know what all can be cannibalized for certain off of standard ARs. As far as I know, all the piston uppers, e.g. my Sig 516, require a standard recoil assembly in the lower, just like a DI upper. After checking my notes, I was able to come up with exact firing numbers of using the non-MCX Geissele trigger and MCX upper. 117 rounds fired full auto and 1342 rounds fired semi-auto. No problems with the Geissele so far.
