As for raw I think @Blue_GuNnER is correct, if you can get that to reach near 100 affinity, it's probably optimal. This is the upgraded version of the Defender Long Sword I part of the free DLC released as part of the Update 3.9. It's 150 attack points is enough for you to blaze through early game. Pumping Affinity to it with Critical Eye makes it an effective starter weapon. Plus it's free and easy to upgrade.
