It really is a nicely made firearm and more refined compared to the serviceable but more crude Mossberg.

I have both a Nova and a 500. The 500 is a very stout gun, the stock plastic grips do have a little wobble but the wood upgrade is solid. The 500 is a good solid gun, not expensive to buy or own. Easy to get parts for and a lot of add ons, accessories, modifications, upgrades, etc etc available. Also I think easy to clean and maintain. Haven't used a Nova but from reading the posts - people either love them or hate them, not much inbetween.

It is easy to access with your thumb and it makes it easy to see the condition of the shotgun.
