Advantages of DEX: You can choose between ranged and melee, the latter still adds STR to damage as an off-stat and doesn't need reloading time. Being good at the many dex-based skills. Better reflex saves. Safety at range. PF2e asks you to make use of the strengths of whatever build you make.
