In DnD there are differente reasons why you take a bow or a crossbow. the bow works fine with multi attack. the crossbow has the loading propatie so without a feat you can only shot 1 per turn. heavy- and hand crossbow and long bow we leave out because that are just the upgraded versions of the "short bow" and the "light crossbow".
