Even without a ton of iframes it's good in some situations. It's OP as fuck against greatsword Forlorn. She has so many itty bitty swing attacks, you can backstep out of the way of almost anything she does, wait a split second to see if the combo is done, then punish with the backstep-running attack.

From what I could tell backstep had some iframes, barehanded moveset had both a powerstanced and dual weapon moveset, crouching didnt have unique attack followups and powerstanced shields and catalysts didn't have a unique moveset.
