It gets a groove worn in it from wear over the years. P/N is 374072S. It is hardened steel 5/16" x 7/8". Costs about $6. I'm sure someone knows your controls and will help.but I was thinking it possible that your 3pt control had been set low. I can't wait to see what people say who actually know their stuff. Each control should have a screw adjustment I'm thinkin'. The tractor seems to actually jump with the slightest movement of the control. Where the cable hooks to the rock shaft there are is an about 1/4" diameter stainless shaft that the cable pushes about 3 inches into a stainless tube. It appears to have a full range of motion. The shafts just don't move until about the last 1/4" or 1/2" of the cable movement. That's why I figured it must be the internal adjustment.

As JMOR says, you are compressing springs as shown in the picture. Selecting Position control moves the pin onto the cam as in the picture. There is little lubrication in the area of the cam and pin so the pin wears when you use Position control and if you constantly use Position rather than Draft, the pin has a limited life.

I think most if not all 3ph's have two possible oil paths to the cylinder.
