It wouldn't surprise me if Rivian is tuning the suspension parameters based on what wheels/tires are installed. Even if they aren't, the effect of these changes might be different on different sets. It is even possible that a change that improved handling on 20's would be detrimental on 22's.

Soft and stiff are probably not enough. Possibly a 3rd setting like "balanced" could be added to mimic the old soft so that folks can go back if they want. Ride comfort is very subjective so one person might appreciate an extra floaty and soft ride while another might not.
