DS2 in my opinion is the worst Souls game because it has some of the cheapest and most artificial difficulty with way too many areas with groups of ganking enemies. It does have the most content and replayability of the fromsoft games as well as the most bosses with 41 if you include DLC.

There's no ideal. Under 70 is a must, but from then on it just depends on my weapon and fashion choices. I like under 50, and prefer going as low as possible (like under 10 for caestus/BF buikd) but if I use a Greatsword or bigger I just draw the line at 70.
