There appears to be no rhyme or reason as to when it does or does not work, basically you don't know until you shift into reverse. Recently my speedometer stopped working and my odometer stopped working, however, not my speedometer is working but I believe is way off and also my odometer is still not working, I've tried changing my speed sensor off another motor same result.

Anything is possible due to the accident and also stuff that just happens. I would start with a wiring diagram for the headlight/taillight circuit. It has a 12V power accessory socket in the rear cargo area, along with a 12V socket in the front console panel. The 12V socket in the front works fine, but I found that the one in the back is not working when using the same accessories (100W inverter, LED light).
