I just tried many different ways to place these magnets. I originally had all of them placed the same direction. I got the red -> yellow -> blue flashing lights. With all of the magnets in the other same direction, the litter robot would stop quickly after it turns in the counterclockwise direction to return to the home position. Here is what works

I've had a litter robot for about a month and a half. Not scooping has been great. What hasn't been great is that the reset button keeps flashing every time the litter robot goes through a cycle (the machine thinks the drawer below is full). This is fixed by hitting the reset button again, but then the problem happens after cycling through again.
