The cog railway is a fantastic trip up to the summit of Pikes Peak. Beautiful scenery! Hopefully the tracks will be clear so you can do it. Luckily the tracks were clear of snow, and we made it up to the top. Unfortunately, there was 8 feet of snow on the ground, and the crew had to shovel their way into the gift shop. Fun experience but watch your step. Went to the summit of Pikes Peak on the cog railway. The new trains are very smooth but seats are thin. It was recommended for couples to sit opposite each other for maximum viewing and this worked out well. We reached the summit and had about 40 minutes.

For those interested, we sat on the left as the train we were in (not sure if they are all the same) had seats for 3 on the left and only 2 on the right. I really thought views were great (but yes slightly different) on both sides. What I will point out is we were 2nd in line and able to sit in the very front seat on the way up.
