Vdara is on the strip, just set back a bit, next to Bellagio, condo style hotel, no casino.Good choice. Trump is north strip, set behind the Fashion Show Mall, a car would be handy, unless you want to cab it everywhere. Not the best location, kinda remote. The rooms at VDARA are really nice and are spacious with normal sized bathrooms. The rooms at Mirage (excluding the Tower King) have tiny bathrooms. Both Resort and Tower rooms are still smaller than VDARA rooms. Mirage has more dining options. VDARA has a Starbucks and a little cafe area.

Aria is a full service casino/resort, with a casino (duh!), several restaurants, an elaborate pool area, shows, bars, etc. Vdara is a condo type property that happens to be attached to Aria.
