I haven't anointed a single ring since blight league. I don't think they're useless, they're just not necessary. I hardly run blighted maps but when I do I run a build that's really good at them so I don't need anoints. I just place cold and physical slowing fields everywhere and do the damage myself.RAll of the blight scarabs are useful, but the higher tier ones guarantee bosses I think. So I'd only use if you felt you had the damage to down them fast enough.
