As @NiceUnparticularMan mentioned, Pitt says that the merit committee reconsiders applications each week, but as time goes on the chances of receiving merit likely decrease but are not zero.

Sep 14, 2023 · My daughter applied August 4th, was accepted August 29th but didn’t receive the congratulations video email until Sept 6th. We found out by accident she was accepted on Aug 29th as we checked the portal to ensure all docs were received and saw the acceptance letter. So keep an eye on the portal 🙂
