The shift tower fastens to the top of the transaxle. When it's removed the forks come out with it. If you try this, take good pics and post as you go. I bought a shop manual but there really is not much left to do except replace the hydro unit. Maybe Kubota will make there warranty good since this has been a warranty claim since last spring.

Fan is running constantly, took it to kubota to get it serviced on and they said the switch was bad, should be fine after that.
