I currently have a McIntosh MC252 which I like quite a bit. Besides the weight, there isn’t anything I don’t like about it. These can generally be picked up around $3k. The MC462 was bench tested at Stereophile. This is really the only reason I picked this particular amp. These are 4ohm speakers that will dip below 3ohms. You might also consider used 9's which can be had for around $5800 w/a used CC-5 for about $2400. A used 20T V2 runs at $19000. You could get the used 9's, CC-5 and the Mac amp for less than the 20T and it would be a real knockout setup for music and movies.
