I hunt a bit west of Vivian. Was there second weekend and there was still a ton of corn in. I would imagine by now the harvest should be winding down. Hunted all private and birds were down considerably from last year. That said with good dogs and full day hunting we had shots at limits everyday even with the wind and warm temperatures.

Not sure how good of a deal that truly is. If you hunted every day of the Brule season it would average out to about $6 per day. The state license is $12 per day and you get to chose your days.
