It's best to go early to beat the heat and the crowds. Parking is free, and I was able to hire a guide quite easily near the entrance. Know what to expect: there is an entry fee and there are tons of vendors selling souvenirs throughout the ruins/sites. The entire experience was magical! Rodrigo was so knowledgeable about Chichen Itza, and his passion for the site was evident through his thorough explainations.
