The "rebuild' character options how ever involve you keeping the points you spent though. Like in...Skyrim, you can 'reset' one skill but you keep the perk points, it refunds the points you spent and you can spend them differently. So instead of 8 formaing a weapon, it would be possible to forma it even up to 24 (or even more) times, if you want all 8 slots to be "universal". Of course, you could do it even more if you wanted to unlock the other polarities like umbra, zenurik, unairu.
